"Same Time Next Year" Attending the same program for Pesach year after year can play a meaningful and significant role in many people's formative years as well and continue to resonate into their adult lives. Since the start of EdenTours Pesach in 2006, we have had numerous conversations with people who upon calling to inquire about our program, began to reflect upon the warm memories that they had of attending the same program year after year year--- the genuine excitement of their annual reunion with their "Pesach friends" for as many as 40 years. The hotel they mention most of the time, unfortunately, was forced to close its doors after more than 50 years, due to the ever-expanding condominium market in Florida. The sadness in their voices is quite apparent and stems from their sense of loss of their Pesach home as well as their Pesach family. Incidentally, the proprietors and hosts of this beloved Pesach program since its very inception, who happen to be close family friends have felt that same loss of their "Pesach Family"----their longstanding and loyal guests, who after all those years of sharing warm Yom Tov memories had actually become woven into the fabric of their own family. Each former guest relayed how they have attended several different programs since this hotel folded but have yet to find a Pesach program to call home. These conversations were very moving and we found ourselves saying a little tefilah that EdenToursPesach and the Goldwasser Family should be given the bracha of loyal and devoted guests who would become an extension of our family as well. Our vision of EdenTours began to crystalize over many years of involvement with various Pesach programs. There were programs that were heavy on gashmius (great food, great hotel) but came up short on ruchnius ( inspiration). And then there were years where we experienced just the opposite. Our mission was to create a Pesach program that had it all: a hotel that was luxurious and service-oriented, an upscale and elegant culinary and dining experience, a program that was both innovative and exciting, and most importantly a warm and heimish environment that was spiritually enriching with unparalleled ruchnius, beautiful soulful davening, leibedik singing and dancing and a multitude of learning opportunities for all ages. We sought speakers of the highest calibre such as Rabbi Paysach Krohn, Rabbi Tzvi Hirsch Weinreb, Rabbi Yaakov Salomon, Rabbi Aryeh Ginzberg and Rabbi Doniel Mechanic who would provide our guests with presentations and shiurim that were riveting, insightful as well as entertaining. As parents we felt an obligation to our own family to create a program that would not compromise the spiritual integrity of Yom Tov and at the same time provide a warm and embracing environment-----a place EdenTours guests would look forward to returning year after year.
